RIHT Launches Website, Welcomes New Sponsors
Welcome to the new website for Ryerson's International Hyperloop Team (RIHT)! We invite you to explore this website and learn more about our innovative Hyperloop subsystem design, the “Hyperloop Deployable Wheel System” (HDWS for short). After earning the Subsystem Innovation Award at the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition in January, our small group of 3 graduate students and 3 advisors have been working hard, continuing to develop our system and play our part in the development of Elon Musk's “5th mode of transportation”, the Hyperloop.
Since the competition weekend in January, our team member count has expanded to handle the demands involved with bringing our product to life. Through the guidance of our advisors, our team has taken large strides to secure gainful partnerships with local Universities (McMaster, University of Toronto). These partnerships will enable our team to design and test the HDWS as we head towards the final stage of the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition in August 2016.
Since January our team has added to our excellent list of sponsorships by developing relationships with a number of companies and organizations including: SKF, KAMAN, SAE International, and 7C Laboratories. Each of our sponsors plays an important role in helping bring to life the HDWS and we certainly could not do this without them.
Today we are pleased to announce that Greene Tweed and MIIM have joined our family of sponsors. We are so pleased to have you onboard and we look forward to working with you as we continue on this exciting journey. I encourage you to learn more about all of our sponsors on our dedicated Sponsors web page.
We hope you enjoy our website!
